How to Keep Your Steam Room Clean

We’re always talking about the numerous benefits of having a steam bath in the home and the
positive impacts it can have on your health, but it’s important that your steam room is well-maintained so it can actually serve its purpose. Because the amount of humidity in a steam room is intense, mold and lime growth can often easily thrive in these conditions. However, by properly and regularly cleaning your steam room, you can enjoy the room without any problems.

· Of course the most important way to prevent mold build up is to have a properly installed steam room. If your room has proper ventilation, it will be must harder for mold to build up.
· Once per month, remove nozzles in the steam room and soak them in lime solution or vinegar. Lime solution works fast, but vinegar is less toxic and chemical free.
· If there is growth in the steam room, use a brush and clean away the growth. Make sure to spread a germ-free cleaner on the surface, and continue to scrub.
· If you have hard water, it’s important to clean your steam room more often, as deposits will occur more regularly.
· Always use a non-abrasive cleaner and scrub brush to avoid any permanent damage to the surfaces in your steam room.
· Regular cleaning is incredibly important for maintaining a relaxing and mold free steam room.
